WiGI/Buchla Lightning Midi Controller

The WiGI/Buchla Lightning Midi Controller has been one of my main obessions and performance instruments for the last few years. With the support of STEIM I modified the Lightning and added considerably to its capabilities using Arduino Wireless boards, JunXion, LiSa and Aalto midi routing, sampling and synthesizer software and I have renamed this extended instrument the WiGi (Wireless Gestural Instrument). My experience and research on these infra-red gestural instruments are recorded in an article for the Canadian Electroacoustic Community journal e-contact here

This one minute long composition, recorded live using the WiGi at AUXXXX Berlin and was a winner of the 60 x 60 Mix competition.
